As the owner of Joseph M Menzie Inc, Joe Menzie is known for helping jewelers source high quality gemstones. Joe has more than 40 years in the industry, beginning as a protégé to his grandfather Charles F Winston, one of the leading jewelers in New York, and serving as North American manager for the Golay Buchel precious gemstone department. Joe’s industry leadership positions include serving as president of the International Colored Gemstone Association, spearheading the association’s corporate social responsibility initiatives: building school additions in Tanzania, rebuilding tsunami-ravished homes in Sri Lanka, and donating computer equipment to rural mining towns in Colombia. He is the founder of the New York Jewelers Group, a diverse group of NY based distributors who meet once a month In order to brainstorm, share ideas and grow their businesses. In 2012, ICA honored him with a Lifetime Achievement Award.


Eli Borochoff has produced more than 400 jewelry industry websites. He has deep experience in diamonds, jewelry manufacturing, jewelry retailing and software development. He began his career in his family’s diamond business and then became a jewelry manufacturer. His company Just Perfect Jewelry Designs specializes in machine set jewelry. At 130-store chain Almod Diamonds, his responsibilities included the software development for the back office and stores. Later he was in charge of Rapnet at the Rapaport Group. In 2011, he launched iDiamondCloud, a web-based inventory management system for the jewelry industry used by 120 companies worldwide today. Eli also is an accomplished classical guitar player.


Joe Menzie announced the appointment of Joe Orlando as president of Guild Jewels a subsidary of Joseph Menzie, Inc. Joe Orlando brings more than 40 years of jewelry management experience to the position as president of Guild Jewels. He began his career in the family owned business manufacturing jewelry in Buffalo, New York where he learned all phases of jewelry manufacturing. He joined Town & Country a global manufacturer of jewelry, with a home office in New England, in Operations managing and global gemstone procurement. From 1997 till 2011 he worked at Stuller Inc. whereas Vice President Gemstone Business Unit he managed the Global Supply Chain, Sales development and overall operations of the division. In 2011 he joined Quality Gold as director of the gemstone division and developed the division into one of the top suppliers of Color Gemstone in the USA. Joe served 5 years as an appointed member on the Board of the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) and also as an Ambassador to the USA with the International Color Gemstone Association (ICA).


Saul J. Klein is an attorney engaged in private practice since 2004, after successful employment with various legal organizations including a period as Vice President of the leading title company in North America. Mr. Klein is a highly accomplished attorney whose time is now devoted to transactional and litigation work. His primary focus areas are in: Contracts, Real Estate, Employment and Insurance Law.  Mr. Klein is well-versed in the jewelry industry having completed several GIA courses and being a gem enthusiast for more than twenty years.  Lately, he has been devoting much of his time to assisting jewelry professionals in the running of their businesses including:

  • Advising on startups and reorganizations

  • Preparing, revising and tailoring contracts, employment agreements, purchase orders, credit memos and invoices to clients’ needs

  • Handling and mediating internal employment disputes; and claims with State and Federal agencies such as the Department of Labor and EEOC

  • Avoiding disputes before they occur including early intervention to settle claims and potential lawsuits

  • Resolving insurance claims

  • Putting in place loss prevention strategies

  • Developing employer guidelines for their employees

?Born from humble roots and raised in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, Mr. Klein prides himself on understanding people and situations and is an avid seeker of justice.  Mr. Klein is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and Cornell University.  ?Mr. Klein provides personal attention and cares about each and every one of his clients while focusing on securing a just result.


Victoria Nuzzolillo

Financial and tactical communications professional with more than 25 years experience. Founder of Firstbytes.com, Inc., a financial communications firm specializing in strategic planning for early-stage companiesFormer partner in Business Plans International Group / Strategy First, which specialized in business plan development and business planning services.   Chartered Financial Analyst and award-winning writer with corporate finance experience across a broad range of disciplines including mergers and acquisitions, valuations of closely-held companies and investor relations. 


VP Corporate Social Responsibility

Barbara Wheat brings over 20 years experience to Guild Jewels. She is an accredited gemologist, communications and PR expert, and regularly writes for international trade publications. She has worked extensively with governments and trade bodies in Brazil, China, Dubai, Kenya, Madagascar and Thailand on developing gemstone and jewelry sectors. She has conducted market research for the World Bank and is on the organizing committee for the Jewelry Industry Summit. Barbara is the current executive vice president of the Natural Color Diamond Association and previously served as executive director of the International Gemstone Association.

She is a member of the Advisory Boards for the Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences and the Jewely Trade Center in Bangkok. Barbara earned a Master of Science degree in Sustainability Management at Columbia University. She is a member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals and is on the leadership team for the greater New York chapter.
